With the unemployment rate at over nine percent and national debt at an all-time high, it's critical that jobs are created to get the almost 14 million unemployed Americans back to work. President Obama has introduced the American Jobs Act, which would help tremendously in getting the economy moving in the right direction.

The American Jobs Act is supported by both democrats and republicans, and its benefits are myriad. It would help keep teachers in their jobs, provide employment opportunities for veterans in need, and enlist Americans to help repair schools, roads, and other public sites. The American Jobs Act would also expand tax cuts and improve the unemployment insurance program.

Perhaps most importantly, the American Jobs Act wouldn't add anything to the national deficit.

Dear President Obama,

I would like to voice my support of the American Jobs Act — your plan to get America's economy moving in the right direction. With unemployment at nine percent, and the national deficit at its peak, creating jobs is the number one strategy to jump start the economy.

The American Jobs Act will help reinvigorate the economy by providing employment assistance to the already unemployed, veterans, teachers, and more. It will create tax break incentives for small businesses to hire employees, help prevent teacher layoffs, put Americans to work on roads, bridges, and schools, and cut payroll taxes for the typical family.

The best part of the American Jobs Act is that it won't add one penny to the national deficit.

We need the American Jobs Act to pass for the health of our citizens and the health of our nation! Please push this bill into law!

Thank you.
