Ugandan Clinic Turns On The Lights

Robert H. Cooley Pediatric Clinic opened in 2010 to provide a safe haven for children suffering from HIV/AIDS.  It is one of the many projects started by Village Partners International to help the residents of Papoli, Uganda.

Most recently the clinic finally became "connected" to the national grid, with the electric lights finally turned on in December 2012. "Electrical equipment and facilities will considerably improve the overall quality of care available to patients of the pediatric clinic and eventually the outpatient clinic which is currently under construction. It will also improve the overall operation of the clinics. Eventually an electric pump will supply the clinic with running water," wrote Samali Nyabeli in a recent newsletter. supports these and other efforts to help children worldwide through the Gifts That Give More program.
