New Gifts help women in Nepal

by Rosemary Jones

Nyaya HealthFive new Gifts That Give More [tm] benefit healthcare projects in Nepal.

Visitors to www.GreaterGood.org or any website in the GreaterGood Network select a specific project of Nyaya Health to support through Gifts That Give More [tm], such providing prenatal care, malnutrition screening, ambulance service, or more.

This latest addition to the Gifts That Give More [tm] benefits Nyaya Health. This charitable partner of GreaterGood.org operates a hospital and mobile medical care services in Achham, a large district in Nepal and one of the poorest regions in South Asia.

In Achham, Nepal, 90% of births happen in the home without trained healthcare providers, and three of every hundred women are at risk of dying from preventable pregnancy-related causes.  At the Bayalpata Hospital in Achham, Nyaya Health is working to provide all women in this impoverished district with comprehensive prenatal care by a trained midwife, improving the health situation of both mother and child and preventing needless deaths during childbirth.

Gifts That Give More [tm] are created completely free of charge for selected nonprofits. No administration fees or other fees are charged for participation in the program. Funding received through this program and other contributions from the GreaterGood Network are distributed by GreaterGood.org in the form of grants.
