Children and the Famine in Africa

As the humanitarian crisis in Eastern Africa grows it becomes more and more clear that it is the children who are hardest hit. The British government reports that over 400,000 children are in imminent danger of dying from malnutrtiion and, with the famine expected to drag on till after the first of the year, many thousands more beyond that.

Hunger isn't just something that happens in far off countries or to people too lazy to work. It happens to your friends and neighbors, to the people who are working hard but, after all the bills are paid, still don't have enough to put healthy food on the table.

While this may not be an easy video to watch it is an important video to watch. Over one billion people around the world live on less than $1 which means they don't have access to food, healthcare, or even, in many cases, clean water.
