A "bugnado" is a swirling vortex of insects that occurs when temperatures and heavy rains or floods causes a mass hatching and ALL the little buggies swarm at once, twisting and curling into the sky in a truly awesome column of bugs. Some swarms are so dense they can ever appear on radar!
