The Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure brings breast cancer survivors and their supporters together

Athletes, survivors and loved ones of those who are currently battling breast cancer can all participate in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure event which is happening in cities around the country from July through November of this year.

Those who plan to attend the event can sign themselves and their friends up now, and begin to train for the three-day 60-mile walk to benefit breast cancer awareness. The first walk kicks off in Boston, and the initiative will make its way around the country and finish off in San Diego.

Participants make the 20-mile-trek each day outfitted in pink hats, shorts and tee shirts, and more playful items like pink boas. Of course, comfortable sneakers are also a must!

After a long day of pounding the pavement, the ladies all camp out together. Food and entertainment will be provided for the tired road warriors, who can share inspiring stories and support breast cancer survivors as they rest up for the next day.
