Restaurants dedicate peach and plum dishes to breast cancer awareness

Peach BurrataAugust is National Peach Month and twenty of San Francisco’s premier restaurants have banned together to create “Peach & Plum Dining Month” to celebrate California's locally grown peaches and plums. Each participating restaurant also has dedicated a dish to the fight against breast cancer.

The restaurants will donate $1 from every dedicated peach and/or plum dish sold from August 15 to September 15 to The Breast Cancer Site’s Gifts That Give More™ program to help fund free mammograms for women in need.

“San Francisco is a culinary capital, and as a chef, it’s an honor to contribute to such an amazing cause,” said executive chef Jennifer Puccio of San Francisco’s critically acclaimed Marlowe restaurant. Puccio’s featured menu item is Peach Burrata (peaches, smoked olive oil, smoked salt and chilies).
