'Bizarre Bras' takes over New Hampshire town

Since October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, people and businesses across the country continue to do their own part in the fight against the disease and help raise money for the cure. In Portsmouth, New Hampshire, the York Art Association (YAA) is also contributing to spreading breast cancer awareness, according to Seacoast Online.

YAA will be displaying a new exhibit only throughout October. It is called "Bizarre Bras" and people who are a part of YAA were given all summer to design a unique and creative bra that is everything but dull. All of the bras will be on display outside of Portsmouth Fabric Company in order to spread awareness, the media outlet reports.

According to the American Cancer Society, one in eight women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some point during their lives. It is not only the second most common among women - following skin cancer - but it also is the second leading cause of cancer-related death among women behind only lung cancer.
